Sadly, as we already mentioned, the game was de-listed at the end of 2014, making it completely unavailable on both storefronts. As for the video game, it stars the titular Scott Pilgrim in an 8-bit beat-em-up style side-scrolling adventure similar to noteworthy stalwarts such as River City Ransom and Final Fight. It was generally well-received by critics and gamers alike, noting that the gameplay combined with the stellar soundtrack, which was entirely composed by the band Anamanaguchi, made it a worthwhile addition to either the PlayStation or Xbox library.

So, Wednesday morning of this past week, I was one of the first to download Scott Pilgrim vs the World for Xbox 360. I love the quality of the products you all pump out and the superb gameplay your games contain. Where these conversations between O’Malley and Ubisoft go is anyone’s guess, but we’re hoping it leads to the effect of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game coming to modern consoles, and to PC. I played Rayman when I was younger and it is one of my favorite platformers of all time. However, a recent tidbit of news has rejuvenated their spark of aspiration, as the creator of the original comic book series, Bryan Lee O’Malley, has tweeted that he’s been in contact with Ubisoft, stating that the video game giant actually reached out to him.ĭespite the shortness of the tweet, this alone could be what was needed to get the ball rolling for Scott Pilgrim Vs The World: The Game to make its dramatic comeback. We recently passed the ten year anniversary of the title, with no mention of anything from Ubisoft who owns the rights to the game, leaving fans with little hope of seeing a return of the 8-bit classic. It’s been nearly six years since the 2010 video game adaptation of Scott Pilgrim Vs The World was de-listed from both Xbox Live and the PSN Store, and the fans have been clamoring for its return ever since.
